The Monroe, Louisiana native revolutionized the forestry industry just in time for the booming post-war demands for more wood and wood products, it was the beginning of an industrial giant. Mr. Poulan, whose Poulan chain saw has become a household word in the power-tool industry, built and sold his first chain saw in Marshall, Texas. In the late 70's the Poulan company merged with Weed Eater, Inc., and was later acquired by Electrolux. As of June 2006, the former Outdoor Products operations of Electrolux were divested as a separate company, Husqvarna AB. Husqvarna AB is the parent company in the Husqvarna Group, covering outdoor brands such as Husqvarna, Jonsered, McCulloch, Partner, Poulan and Weed Eater, as well as construction equipment brands like Diamand Boart and Partner Industrial.
Starting a Snow Clearing Session I
After starting the engine of your Snow Blower, pay close attention when engaging the drive system. If the engine strains excessively or stalls, do not retry before checking all moving parts. Snow from a previous session may have melted and re-frozen, locking up critical parts. Make sure engine is off and try and free frozen parts gently. If necessary, move the blower to a heated area and allow the ice to melt. Failure to do so may end up in a shredded belt or broken equipment.
