Troy-Bilt
In the 1960's, Lyman Wood changed the future of American gardening by founding the company that later became known as Garden-Way and developed its first product, the Troy-Bilt Rototiller. Garden-Way of Troy, NY, manufactured Troy-Bilt equipment. Garden-Way declared bankruptcy in 2001 and sold the Troy-Bilt and Bolens brands to MTD. Troy-Bilt products manufactured prior to 2001 have limited parts availability. MTD currently offers a full line of equipment marketed under the Troy-Bilt brand.

Fuel Mix Storage I

Use only approved plastic fuel containers for your fuel mix of the smallest size you can stand and always keep your container tightly sealed. Sealed plastic containers are less likely to collect water (sweat) on their walls, introducing it into your fuel. Two-cycle engines do not run well with water in their fuel. Using smaller containers will cause you to re-mix fresh fuel more often and reduce the incidence of stale fuel. Pour the proper amounts of gas and oil into your fuel container and shake the can well before each use.
