Measures 15.5 in. long, 9.6 in. wide and 10.1 in. tall and weighs only 10.1 lb. (4.6 kg) without chain or guide bar. It is powered by a 40.2 cc air-cooled single-cylinder, two-stroke engine that delivers a 12 000-rpm WOT speed, 4 100-rpm clutch-engagement speed and a 2 700-rpm idle. The carburetor is factory-tuned for a 50:1 gasoline-oil mix and can run on 89-octane unleaded fuel, although fuel containing more than 10 % ethyl alcohol, 15 % MTBE or methyl alcohol is disallowed. The saw comes with 16-inch and 18-inch guide bars, 91 px/91 vg chains and a variety of safety features - front and rear hand guards, an anti-vibration device, a chain catcher, a band brake and a spark arrester muffler. The throttle lockout and chain-catcher are built to protect users from accidental starts or chain dislodgement.
