When installing a new Blade, or Cutter, you may notice that the cutting edge has been pre-sharpened but then painted over. This paint is a safety measure to protect the installer from injury during installation. This paint will come off quickly during initial operation and should not be otherwise removed. For added safety, when installing a blade on a walk-behind mower, you might consider disconnecting the Spark Plug wire to prevent accidental engine ignition. Please handle all blades with extra caution.
