When installing a new Blade, or Cutter, you may notice that the cutting edge has been pre-sharpened but then painted over. This paint is a safety measure to protect the installer from injury during installation. This paint will come off quickly during initial operation and should not be otherwise removed. In the case of a Sickle Bar Tooth or Hedge Clipper Blade, these are not usually painted and the cutting edges are very sharp. Please handle all blades with extra caution during installation.
