The purpose of the Carburetor Repair Kit is to replace the components of the carb that are most likely to wear out after prolonged use, like the gaskets and welch plugs. Repairing a carburetor, instead of replacing it, can be a cost effective way to restore your equipment performance. Before you begin, also look for signs of wear on any other gaskets needed to mount the carburetor to the engine, these are usually purchased separately from the kit and are most easily replaced at the same time.
